The Story Behind Savagely Single
How a Paint and Sip night near Valentine's Day changed everything.
It all started with a glass of wine, a blank canvas, and a room full of women who were absolutely done with the dating pool.
I'm Suzy Brown, CEO and founder of Savagely Single. But before this was a brand, it was just a conversation at a Paint and Sip night right around Valentine's Day.
The theme of the night was conversation hearts. I was painting happy, sweet little messages on mine because, honestly, I've found my unicorn. My husband and I are magically married, and I know how rare that is. But as I looked around the table at my single friends, their canvases told a very different story.
The canvases that started it all.
My happy hearts. I found my unicorn.
They were venting about their exes, laughing about the absolute state of modern dating, and painting hearts that said things I can't repeat here. They weren't looking for romance. They were looking for peace, independence, and maybe a good laugh at the expense of the men who had wasted their time.
When I got home and showed my husband the photos, it clicked instantly. He said, "What if we made a shirt with a burnt conversation heart?"
That one idea sparked an entire brand.
We realized that while we had found our happily ever after, we both remembered exactly what it was like to be in the trenches of bad relationships and brutal breakups. We knew that not everyone has found their unicorn, and more importantly, not everyone wants to.
Suzy and her husband, the unicorn she found.
Savagely Single was born to empower that independence.
I built this company because I wanted to create something for my friends, and for women everywhere, who are refusing to settle. Women who are protecting their peace, raising their standards, and wearing their independence like armor.
Whether you're holding out for your unicorn or you're perfectly happy being your own damn hero, this brand is for you. We make apparel that speaks for you before you even have to open your mouth, because sometimes the best response to an unwanted advance is just turning around and letting your shirt do the talking.
Because average men are below your standards.
Stay savage.
